  1. Thank you for doing this video I’ll be sure to pick up some more of your recommendations I already I have grabbed several!!! Yay

  2. Pretty Deadly is completely amazing I really really love it! I’m impatiently awaiting volume 2.

I’ve made a note of most of these as they sound right up my street. Especially Rat Queens and Skim. I’ve only recently started getting into graphic novels, but I have to say I’m really enjoying them. So beautiful and interesting!

  3. I really loved “Blue is the warmest colour” by Julie Maroh and “A distant neighborhood” by Jiro Taniguchi and I think you might enjoy them too.

  4. Ooooh, I’ll have to check some of these out, these sound really awesome.
One graphic novel I’d recommend is Lighter Than my Shadow by Kate Green, which is a memoir about dealing with anorexia and depression. The art is done in black&white and is simplistic, which I think works really well.

  5. You might joy scenes from an impending marriage by Adrian Tomine. I haven’t read his other books but this was a really cute relaxing book.

  6. I love how you always have such a variety and manage to get your thoughts across flawlessly! I’ve read a few of these but I’ll definitely be picking up a couple of these that I haven’t read/own 😀 Thank you for making this video~

  7. I am new to graphic novels but I just ordered Through the Woods before watching this video. I cannot wait to get it! It looks fantastic!!

  8. I recently bought and read Baba Yaga’s Assistant because of you! It was so good, so I’m very glad I trusted your taste in graphic novels!!

  9. I think you would really like a new series that Image is putting out called Monstress, by Marjorie Liu, and has just beautiful art by Sana Takeda. It has a very dark fantasy story that seems right up your alley. The first volume should be up soon!!

  10. I want to illustrate a graphic novel, if there anyone who loves to write and have cool and interesting story let me know maybe we can do something cool together!!

  11. Jane, the Fox, and Me sounds really sweet. I love the art style! I’ve been wanting to read Saga, mainly because I love Fiona Staples’ art and the story sounds really fun!
